"History in a Pint" series is a success!

Last week Veterans Memorial Hall hosted its second "History in a Pint" and again the room was at capacity at Carmody Irish Pub and Brewing. The first speaker in our series was Joe Gomer who was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen during WWII and the latest was Anthony Jurek who was a Prisoner of War in the Korean War for 33 months.

I think the credit for each event's success is, one the amazing credentials of our speakers. Also, the relaxed atmosphere of the Pub provides a different setting that most enjoy. It's pretty hard to beat listening to one of our famous local veterans, while enjoying a delicious local microbrew.

Our next speaker will be from the Vietnam era, followed by a Desert Storm veteran and the a GWOT veteran. Look forward to notice about upcoming future events.
